Teach a Flower Girl what her role will be with this great book!
September 6th, 2007
My husband and I are so excited that our daughter is going to be the flower girl in her cousin’s wedding next year! It is such an honor that she was asked. She shares in our excitement, but doesn’t “get” what she will be doing. We attempt to explain that she will be a little princess throwing flower petals etc. using grandiose hand gestures and enacting crazy skits—She just likes the excitement!
I came home yesterday to the most thoughtful and adorable gift for her which solves this elusive idea of what it is to be a Flower Girl.
There is a book in the Babar series called “Isabelle the Flower Girl.” My cousin put a cute personal touch in the first two blank pages which is sooo creative! She put a picture of her and her fiance together and then a picture of each of them with our daughter and wrote about them getting married and them wanting our daughter to be the flower girl. What a touching keepsake!!!
The book has a wonderful story that really gives our daughter a way to figure this whole thing out. She absolutely adores it and it is read a couple of times a day… Thoughtful, perfect, sweet, and full of Mom Appeal! If you are looking for a gift for a flower girl, nothing could be better than this! Oh yeah! If you are looking for a book for a Ring Bearer check this one out. Mama Jen
